Chris Hewitt is an award winning screenwriter, film director and editor in Austin, Texas. He is studying film at the University of Texas while working as a Walt Disney Motion Pictures Studio intern. His film-related work experience includes interning one summer at in Los Angeles, CA for Dreamworks Animation in post production. Chris also interned the previous summer in Los Angeles for Hollywood Gang Productions (“300,” “Everybody’s Fine”, “Immortals”) assisting the Development Assistant and Story Editor with script coverage and other tasks. Chris also worked for two summers at Channel 13 in Mandeville, LA as an Editor and Videographer.
Chris has six years of experience with Avid Media Composer, Avid Express Pro and Avid Mojo, in addition to more recent experience with Maya 2012 and Adobe Flash CS-5. His production experience includes work with the Panasonic AG-HPX500 P2, Bolex, Arriflex Super 16, Canon GL2, and Canon XLR cameras. His short-films and short screenplays have received awards in film festivals all over the country. Chris has strong communication skills and has received numerous awards in Extemporaneous Speaking and Oratory speech competitions while in school. He is an academic honor student, an Eagle Scout, and is proficient in Spanish.
