About Chris

Chris is originally from Slidell, Louisiana, where his family still resides.  His interest in writing and filmmaking began as a young teenager and developed through the encouragement of several inspiring teachers and supportive parents.  Throughout his high school years, Chris worked on his first novel, made short-films in his broadcasting classes, and worked at Channel 13 editing educational pieces in the Avid studio.  He also gained experience at Channel 13 as a cameraman and doing voiceovers and standups.  Chris graduated with honors from Northshore High School in 2008.

Chris is a Radio, Television, and Film student at the University of Texas at Austin, where he enjoys attending the numerous film and music productions in Austin.  Chris is an avid movie-goer and critic, loves Longhorn sports, and is passionate about New Orleans Hornets basketball.   He is a scholarship student and has been selected for several honor societies.  Since October of 2010, Chris has worked as a Walt Disney Motion Pictures intern and is responsible for promoting Disney films on campus and throughout the Austin area.

He was selected to participate in the University of Texas at Los Angeles (UTLA) program in the summer of 2010.  Through this program, he interned for Hollywood Gang Productions on the Warner Brothers lot, where he read hundreds of scripts and wrote script coverage.  In addition to working, Chris took several film classes and had the opportunity to visit a number of film sets and meet with industry professionals to learn more about the business.

After UTLA, Chris fell in love with California and the film industry and is anxious to return to the West Coast.  He plans to work in California in the area of animation upon graduation in December 2011.
